Riverton Coffee: DTC Launch
From farmer’s market favorite to national subscription brand.
Challenge: Riverton Coffee had loyal local customers but no coherent brand story or scalable sales channel. They needed to compete in the crowded online coffee subscription space without losing their small-batch charm.
Approach: We led a naming workshop that resulted in a refreshed brand family, aligning roast profiles with evocative place-based names. Packaging was redesigned with a clear tier system, flavor notes, and brewing method icons.
For e-commerce, we simplified the subscription onboarding from seven confusing steps to a streamlined three-step flow. We used photography and copy to convey the tactile warmth of their farmer’s market roots while enabling nationwide scalability.
Result: Within the first quarter post-launch, Riverton Coffee doubled its subscriber base and saw a marked increase in repeat purchase rates thanks to clearer product differentiation.
